The P. B. Smythe building has nothing to do with P. B. Smythe, whoever that was. It was designed to appear about a hundred years old. In reality it's about ten years old and houses a commercial establishment. But it looks good.

I'm sad that it's not really as old as it looks. But it's an interesting idea for a new building. Funny about the name! :)
I like this, with the nice bell tower. We have some ten years old buildings which look like they are a hundred years old, I swear. This was obviously unintended and a fault of the contractors.

I can easily understand why you don't see or hear xylophones much anymore . . .
I guess if you don't already have old buildings it is best to create them. I agree this is a nice looking place.
It does look good, a bit like a Spanish church. I agree with VP, we have modern buildings that crumble apart after 10 years or look like they are centuries old -usually the yucky kind of old. Not this though!
