The Tea Plantation is not only a floral boutique, but also an English-style restaurant. We have not eaten there, but we plan to do so in the future. It looks very nice; if a bit pricey.
This was a new one to us! Not a golf car, not a regular car, but more of a jalopy, or as noted a Krate. I don't know what the "EH" refers to. Notice also the Ontario license plates.
The sides are real wood, and it has a bike rack. A thing of beauty. And it was parked in plain sight in Lake Sumter Landing.
The P. B. Smythe building has nothing to do with P. B. Smythe, whoever that was. It was designed to appear about a hundred years old. In reality it's about ten years old and houses a commercial establishment. But it looks good.
Two outdoor bars await your pleasure at both downtown squares - Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing. Drinks are two for one from 5 to 7 every night.

The sales office (formerly in La Reina) has been relocated to the main street coming into Spanish Springs from Highway 441.
Both Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing conduct open markets in the area surrounding their town squares on a regular basis. Vendors set up stalls and offer a wide variety of goods. This particular "store" in Spanish Springs caught our attention. Soaps by the Slice has a wonderful assortment of soaps in many different colors and shapes which you can buy by the slice. They smell good, too.
The Villages is one of the fastest-growing retirement communities in the United States.
Located in Central Florida, about an hour's drive northwest of Orlando, the Villages is now home to some 150,000 residents, many of which travel the area via golf cart.
There are now three "home towns" in The Villages, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Music and dancing is provided nightly in the town squares of each of the home towns.
