@ Rose - Actually, not! This is a 55 plus community, but it's filled with people engaged in all kinds of activities, from swimming to archery to baseball to polo, etc. There are numerous community centers which offer classes and groups for just about every art, craft, interest you can imagine...
Of course, there are some who fit your description (I know you were just kidding) - like me!
I'm about to get in my golf cart and drive on down. Wait, I don't have a golf cart! Oh, no! Nice southern-plantation style office. Watch out for tanned gators.
@ Ciel - What? What? You don't like the golf car? Why not? I've got a cute little blue one now and it's great for running about the area (haven't used it on the golf course yet) and it saves a lot of wear and tear on the car, not to mention the cost of gasoline!
I'll betcha if you came to visit you'd be driving the thing all over the place!
The Villages is one of the fastest-growing retirement communities in the United States.
Located in Central Florida, about an hour's drive northwest of Orlando, the Villages is now home to some 150,000 residents, many of which travel the area via golf cart.
There are now three "home towns" in The Villages, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Music and dancing is provided nightly in the town squares of each of the home towns.
The Villages is a beautiful community and we hope you enjoy viewing our photos showcasing its many charms.

Oh, what a neat house here Jacob. I bet it's an expensive one.
I bet houses there are expensive, it just shows.
I guess "preowned homes" sounds better than "old, tired, dirty, rundown homes," non?
@ Mr. Hagen: Please! This is The Villages, my friend. There are no "old, tired, dirty, rundown homes," oui?
I'm sure the pre-owned homes were emptied by the tanned gators...
It would be nice to have home in Villages - I would escape there for winter:)
This building is fabulous!
Only old, rundown people!
Actually looks like it would be cool spot on a hot day!
Dare I ask how much homes are in The Villages?
Impressive façade! Also liked a lot the cute golf card in front of the house.Even the car has a beautiful flag, it's cute!:)

*** I think they only can give hints about expensive houses there, as I imagine it looking at so glamorous place.

Okey dokey if you say so.

I like it. I like the cart a bit less.
