How to beat a tornado

One of the problems with living in Florida is that we have an inordinate amount of tornadoes...then we have hurricanes and hurricanes usually bring especially violent tornadoes. Several areas in and near The Villages have been hit hard over the past several years.

But, lo and behold, help is on the way. Just give this company a call and get your tornado shelter. Your house may blow away but you'll be safe. I think.

I think they could have used a few of them around Dallas this week. We got pretty lucky out our way.

Hmmm, I wonder how much a "tornado shelter" costs? You must have been up early today for once since my posting comments followed several of yours, Jacob Meister!

What's next? Meteor protection? Not a bad idea.

Hi Daryl...checked the link...fascinating. I wish I'd known about that when I was teaching school! We had tons of gum stuck under the desks and seats and the walkways were black with gum marks.

@ B Squared...no, tornado shelters are a pretty good idea...there was no one around this vehicle or I would have asked about them.

And meteor protection is a great idea...from the sound of it, we might get hit at sometime in the not too distant future.

Meteor direction might be a better idea...we could send it to certain places that remain a pain in the world's behind...

So if a tornado comes you're supposed to get into that trailer box and then you'll be safe?
Oh, boy, I think I'd look for another alternative... :-)

We had a safe room in Oklahoma. We would put the kids in the safe room and then go stand in the driveway and watch the sky!

Not just Florida. Georgia gets nailed by tornados, too. Only thing is that in Georgia we have basements.
