The Arnold Palmer golf course, pro shop and restaurant are relatively new to the Villages. The facilities are upscale and located between the Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing hometowns.
Arnold Palmer was always a hero of mine growing up. If I was ever nearby I would definitely give the restaurant a try, and even visit the pro shop even though I don't play golf.
@ DL - Well, if you live in The Villages or have a friend who lives there, it's possible. There must be 40 golf courses in The Villages by now, but most are crowded constantly...
Hi Ciel - As I recall, there are between 30-40,000 in The Villages...growth has slowed somewhat but for several years, they were building 3,000 homes per year!
And everyone plays golf! (Almost) In fact, when we stayed there four years ago for a couple of nights, even resident had a hard time getting tee times as the golf courses were so crowded.
Back then there were, if I remember correctly, something like 15 major (18-hole) courses, and many more smaller (9-hole) courses!
I have met people from The Villages on golf courses in Ocala as their golf courses are too busy!
The Villages is one of the fastest-growing retirement communities in the United States.
Located in Central Florida, about an hour's drive northwest of Orlando, the Villages is now home to some 150,000 residents, many of which travel the area via golf cart.
There are now three "home towns" in The Villages, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Music and dancing is provided nightly in the town squares of each of the home towns.
The Villages is a beautiful community and we hope you enjoy viewing our photos showcasing its many charms.

Another lovely place - I'dlike to visit the Vilages one day. Beautiful flowers around!
Have you tried their cuisine?
Squeaky-clean and beautiful.
Looks like a beautiful house! Lovely and neat brick artwork!

Beautiful, fancy place! Great photo as usual from the Jacob Meister. Do they let Misery Synod people in?
A great name but how's the food?
We didn't eat there, B Squared...maybe sometime. But if it's typical of other of the The Villages golf course restaurants, it should be quite good.
@ Leif - Only if they're not from Minnesota! ;-)
So when is Arnie's opening a golf course to go with the shop?
@ Daryl - there's a beautiful golf course, as well as an incredible pro shop and the entire complex is gorgeous...I'll show more in the coming days.
Actually, we stopped at the pro shop several years ago...the course was not done nor was this restaurant...I even bought a golf shirt...
I wouldn't have a reason to visit the shop, but I wouldn't mind trying the restaurant! Another beautiful building.

Impressive shop. Doubtful they will let in duffers and hackers in. ;)

40 golf courses? I can't believe it. How many people live in the Villages?

Wow! Looks like a real nice place to eat!
Lovely brick building, it's incredible how many golf courses you have there!
@ VP - Yes, and they are all so jammed up one must join a club and still wait a week to get a tee time!
Amazing!
Food and everything about the place is SUPER !! We plan to eat there more often.
