The Little White Cloud That Cried

Some of you may be old enough to remember the singer, Johnny Ray.  One of his biggest hits was the song, "The Little White Cloud That Cried."  Here is a video of Johnny Ray singing what became his signature song.  It was one of my favorite songs at the time - 1951!

Well, that one brought back some memories!!! The year after I graduated from high school and I loved Johnny
Ray!! Hadn't thought about either one in years!! How fun!! And if that cloud is going to cry, we'd better get the boats out!!

Hi Lowell, love this photo! As far as the song goes, even though I am not old enough to per se remember it, (I was born in 1956), you know how much I love music older than myself, especially the early 1900's to 1940's. This is one that I haven't heard before, but I must say I really love it! Thanks so much for sharing. They just don't make music like this anymore!

Thats quite a big, little white cloud Lowell! Johnny Ray is a wee bit before my 'interest in music' time, but I'm sure I would have been a fan , he had a brilliant voice, thanks I enjoyed a lot.

Didn't he have another hit called 'Cry' or Cry Cry Cry'? I liked that too. As for my older sister--well she told me plenty and a lot of that was nothing. MB
