Brownwood - another look

We are reopening this blog to insert a few favorite photos from time to time.

This is a series of pictures taken a couple of months ago just after the Grand Opening of the new hometown of Brownwood.

The first gives you an idea of the main street, and the second features the iconic multitude of golf cars so representative of life in The Villages.

The third photo shows the interior of a "gift" shop but is focused on some beautiful and expensive women's cowgirl boots!

And finally, what would a hometown be without a bank?

There are now three "hometowns" in The Villages:  Spanish Springs (the original), Lake Sumter Landing, and Brownwood.  Each is distinctive yet retains the special atmosphere so familiar to The Villages.

How I LOVE cowgirl boots! I'll take either the white ones on the left or the black on the right. I have a great red pair I bought in Santa Fe but look perfectly ridiculous wearing them on the streets of St. Paul, but guess what? I don't care and wear them anyway!!

Great pics. Love the brightly colored carts & the gift shop. And what a fabulous bank -looks more like a palatial bungalow !

Me want boots too, the white very high heels !! Looks like Browntown will create the perfect trio here Lowell. I see you have verification on again, I was just saying to someone else When I looked into my spam catcher there were over three hundred spams so I deleted them all and now I check regularly. Maybe they can only hold back so many, and then they start slipping through, its a thought oui!
