Here are more photos of Brownwood, the new "hometown." All three hometowns (Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood) have downtown squares where people gather to listen to music, drink, dance and have a good time. Brownwood's square is called Paddock Square. Instead of a gazebo, Brownwood's square has an open building facing an open area and two large bleacher sections.

Barnstorm Theater? Love it! Love the water tower, too! Sure wish I could hop on down there & check out this new place! =)

Hi Lowell, most interesting place. Looks like a successful re-creation of a small town, but with golf carts. Looked at that 1940 Ford pickup. Think it is only the body, as there appears to be no frame or axles. Is this village a Disney project like Celebration?
If so, it follows a major urban trend to have everything corporate owned and controlled. There is no town or civic government, only the corporation.

Once again, Lowell, grrrrrreat photos!

I feel like I was just transported back to another time!

Especially liked that second photo. Beautiful clarity!

Have a super weekend!

The idea of new hometowns is so strange to me. As you know, all localities here are old and what happens is that they ended up by getting connected as they become larger over the years.

The barn and grain elevator are just bowling me over! :-)

Re. "old" or futuristic. I didn't mean something for the XXIInd century, you know, just plain modern with glass etc...
