Jere & Karen and their two rescue dogs...

Jere and Karen moved to The Villages about three years ago. Over the years they have "rescued" a number of dogs and they rescued these two beautiful Basset Hounds. We met them on a lovely fall evening as they were walking along the boardwalk at Lake Sumter Landing.

The world would be a better place with more people like Jere and Karen. :)

Beautiful markings cannot believe they were rescues! Did you explain the change to Lowell's blog?

It's so fantastic when people rescue their animal friends instead of buying them from a pet shop. How lucky these two have been to be found by such kind people. Bassets and Beagles are my all time favorites!
Not sure about the 'what happens under the bridge' thing Lowell, might be a bit like 'what happens in Vegas' some things are bound to leak out haha!!

That's nice!

For a second I thought you meant these were dogs trained to rescue people, lol. But I'm glad they were rescued!
