One-legged legstand

The one-legged legstand did not last long...a mighty wind blew up and almost blew this Egret off it's ropey perch!

It must be a comfortable position; I've seen a lot of birds do that. But he does look like an old one legged seaman standing there like that.

He looks cranky, to me. Actually, he reminds me of me sometimes!

That's a beautiful shot-- the quality of the light is lovely! I dunno why so many birds enjoy standing on one leg, though... seems like far too much work to me!

Who likes freedom has to learn how to live by your own way... sometimes you never know when your heart calls softly to a farther fly.

I love this post! :)

Oh! I really like Egrets. The ones we have here are much smaller & brown. Your's seems so exotic all white & regal.

@ Ciel - Thank you. You're very kind! I thought for a minute you were going to say what others have said - that I was for the birds! ;-)

@ EG - Well, it's easy: You put your right foot out ... and you know the rest! ;-)

Fantastic photo! You are so lucky to have all those great birds around! We also have them here, but in a much smaller number, I presume.

Seems to scan the sea as a sailor expert - even if the sailors have two legs -
:-)

Very beautiful photos!
