I love this Jacob! A great photo with an incredible light and the nice touch of the kid holding the rod (or really fishing)... One of your best shots lately!
I've seen your Icon in Comments in a Photo Blog and finally clicked and came to see you. Good Heavens man! You have so many photo blogs going!! You are amazing!
So, I picked this one, to Comment in. Since I so love photos of lights after dark. :-)
A while ago, I too belonged to Eric's Daily Photo Blog. It was great fun for some time, but then, it got to be "a job." And at my age, I simply do NOT take on any new "jobs." ,-) So I dropped out.
Actually, the "job part" wasn't looking at all the lovely photos daily. "The job part" was feeling guilty if I didn't comment in all the blogs, whose owners commented in mine. -le sigh-
Anyway, without the daily-ness of photo blogging, I fell down on my photo taking. So, I made a simple photo blog, in addition to my regular blog. Not joining any blogging group and not pushing it, in any way. :-) Which seems to feel right, for now.
And I'm fully into doing what feels right to me and for me! At my age. ,-)
So let me say, you have lovely photo blogs! I envy your keeping up with so many of them. Carry on!
The Villages is one of the fastest-growing retirement communities in the United States.
Located in Central Florida, about an hour's drive northwest of Orlando, the Villages is now home to some 150,000 residents, many of which travel the area via golf cart.
There are now three "home towns" in The Villages, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Music and dancing is provided nightly in the town squares of each of the home towns.
The Villages is a beautiful community and we hope you enjoy viewing our photos showcasing its many charms.

I guess it's late evening? or could be early morning.... either way, the kid looks quite patient with the task he's up to...

That's a wonderful shot. The little boy doesn't even look real...too Tom Sawyer to believe.
Beautiful time of day - early morning or evening?
@ Thanks, Frank. This was taken early evening last week.
@ VP - Thanks! He was really fishing! Or trying...

Practising your French!
I agree with VP, this is definitely one of your best. Funny that in typical kid fashion he's looking the other way. Love it.
Now that's a cute one, he can't be 8-10 yrs old at the very most - Just won't give up til he catches the 'Big One', huh?! heheheee
What a wonderful moment!
That's a beautiful composition. The light in the sky is great too.
Magical shot, Jacob. This one is a keeper!
