Sales office - The Villages

If you are interested in purchasing a home in The Villages, this might well be your first stop. Trained sales personnel will assist you in locating the home of your dreams.

The sales office (formerly in La Reina) has been relocated to the main street coming into Spanish Springs from Highway 441.

Dontcha just love the sign: Est. 1887?

Yeah! Just what was established in 1887? MB

Est. 1887 is obviously fake? Do you actually buy real houses there?

Lowell said...

@ VP - Hah! Yes, the houses are real.

@ Small City - Not much! In this part of Florida there were a few settlers, a few forts, some small towns, lots of mosquitoes, alligators, and other assorted nuisances to civilization. It was also very hot, humid and miserable.

@ Joo - I'm not sure of the average price...but I'd guess they range from about $200,000 to well over $500,000. As I recall, The Villages has been one of the fastest-growing areas in the U.S. and now has some 30,000 homes in three counties with over 70,000 residents.

'Tis a mistake. It was meant to be 1997. It looks kind of Chinese to me.

Lowell said...

@ Ciel - 1997 would be much closer to reality than 1887!

I was not sure what the 'Est. 1887' stands for, but after reading the comments I realized I was right! :-)

I would very much like to retire to The Villages, except I don't like humidity and it's too far from the mountains. :(

@ Lisa...I think you'd like some things about The Villages, but I'm afraid you're too much of a mountain girl to like it well enough to live here...
