@ Safe Leif - I've only seen one gator so far. Lots of turtles and big fishies, though. Probably lots of gators, too. Hiding. Waiting for you to get too nosy and fall in!
@ VP - You many have hit on something. The Villages people can arrange most anything...
But, no need. It's enough, on a calm night, to see a gator gliding across the surface of the water, with just a bit of nose, the eyes, and a little of the back showing...
The Villages is one of the fastest-growing retirement communities in the United States.
Located in Central Florida, about an hour's drive northwest of Orlando, the Villages is now home to some 150,000 residents, many of which travel the area via golf cart.
There are now three "home towns" in The Villages, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Music and dancing is provided nightly in the town squares of each of the home towns.
The Villages is a beautiful community and we hope you enjoy viewing our photos showcasing its many charms.

The comment you left on my page is HILARIOUS! You cracked me up! ROFLMBO
Even biting sunglasses in anticipation.
I am with VP, it wouldn't surprise me if they did put some electric, mechanical gators in just to entertain (and frighten) the visitors.
The pair on the left must be married. Looks like the lady is getting ready to push.
