The late, great Dominig's Ristorante
Isn't this a beautiful ristorante? One of the chefs, perhaps the chief chef, was our neighbor until he moved away a couple of years ago.
Dominig's Ristorante in Lake Sumter Landing is no more. We had always planned to eat there but when we visited Lake Sumter Landing one evening a few months ago, we found the ristorante was shut down.
We went back to Lake Sumter Landing recently, and lo and behold, there's another restaurant in that same space with a large outdoor bar where you see tables and people in the photo above. It looked very nice so we will give that a try in the near future.

A shame ristorantes have to close It is a high turn around market. Sadly, it is the sterile homogeneous chain restaurants of mediocre cuisine that most non-foodie people prefer to frequent. Let's hope it's not an Olive Garden or Applebees.
Looks lovely. I like the places with outdoor bars where you can enjoy your meal and the fresh air.
Hope the food is also good!
Have a nice day:)
A 'ristorante' has to be good. It looks nice, let us know how you eat there.
Jacob Meister - looks like it was a wonderful place to eat dinner. If you had been nicer to your neighbor chef, maybe he wouldn't have moved away - ha!
beautiful building, like a grand old home
the outdoor seating looks lovely
make sure to go this time before it changes hands again
What an odd name .. but I bet the food was good .. sad it closed, do you know why?
I have no idea why it closed, Daryl...probably not enough business...and there could have been some internal problems. Our neighbor Chef left awfully quickly to head to Sarasota...
Happy 4th of July - Be safe & GOD Bless!!!
@ Leif...I tried, but he was a grouchy old coot, with four kids, three dogs, a chicken, a pig, two cats, and a rabbit. One dog was a really nasty German Shepherd who barked 24/7 (a shrieking, ear-piercing bark) and once attacked our Golden and had her by the throat; I had to beat the thing off!
It was good riddance when he left!
Oh, man, this story about the Shepherd attacking your Golden and you intervening (perhaps kicking your way through?) was funny... I mean, possibly it was not funny to you at the time but... Anyway, well done!
God bless you!
Cezar
