Setting sun at Nancy Lopez' Legacy Golf & Country Club
This photo was taken by Lois Anne.
Both of these photos were shot at Nancy Lopez's Legacy in The Villages a couple of evenings ago. Ms. Lopez's Legacy consists of a fine restaurant, golf course, swimming pool with bar, and tennis courts.
No Antjas...you have to live in The Villages (or come as a guest of a resident).
But EVERYBODY plays golf in The Villages. There must be 30 18-hole courses and probably 20-25 smaller courses and they are always jammed. In fact, you will often find golfers from The Villages playing our courses in Ocala!
We stayed in The Villages a few years ago at Christmas time...We played one gorgeous 18-hole course...but it was sooooo cold, we could only get through nine holes!
The Villages is one of the fastest-growing retirement communities in the United States.
Located in Central Florida, about an hour's drive northwest of Orlando, the Villages is now home to some 150,000 residents, many of which travel the area via golf cart.
There are now three "home towns" in The Villages, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing and Brownwood. Music and dancing is provided nightly in the town squares of each of the home towns.
The Villages is a beautiful community and we hope you enjoy viewing our photos showcasing its many charms.

These are beautiful! I love bird in the first one and the tree in the 2nd. I think I could do my blog on sunsets alone.
Enjoy your weekend.
Nancy

Looks like watercolors! Nice catch getting the bird there!
The bird, Lisa, was pure serendipity: I was lining up the shot, focusing, and the bird flew into the scene at the last minute.
