Lighthouse/Restaurant

The two "hometown" areas of The Villages are Disney-like creations, their ambiance designed specifically to provide various experiences. For example, Sumter Landing is on a small lake. The wooden pier and walkways, stores and restaurants, lights, and all the other trappings let you feel like they've been there forever and they developed over time.

Thus, the lighthouse at Sumter Landing has no real function. It is decoration. But beautiful decoration. It is also a restaurant and bar.

Disney-esque though it all be, it is still beautiful and a delightful place to spend a warm evening with the one you love.

This place was terrible. Went on 6/7/12. I orders a beer and it came lukewarm and a frosted plastic mug. Plastic does not retain cold what idiots. Then I orders a prime rib sandwich. The menu said on a sub roll. It was less than half of a normal 12 inch sub. AND it was not prime rib it was stake-ums from the freezer. The childs chicken fingers had more food on it than mine. Then I asked for some water because I could no handle that warm beer and they never brought it to me. STAY AWAY! This place might be nice for the yankees but this southern boy would rather had a hotdog form a cart.
