Las Tapas - Brownwood

Las Tapas is a relatively new operation in Brownwood - it is a Spanish tapas bar, a restaurant and a brewery.

We decided to give it a try not long ago and were somewhat disappointed.  As you can see, very few people were present.  Our waitress was harried about something and as a result the service was dismal.  Dismal could also be applied to the food.

Perhaps Las Tapas was just having a bad day.

Each of the "Hometowns" in The Villages have "bait shacks" in the downtown squares. Usually, the bait shacks offer 2 for 1 drinks from 5 to 7 pm. They call that "Happy Hour." Often by 7:00, lots of folks have become quite "happy."

While there is a certain disparity in terms of wealth among residents of The Villages, some are quite rich. They are the ones who can afford new Corvettes like this one! What a car!
