A barber shop to be...

...it is in the new "downtown" of Brownwood, and is still under construction.

No lines!

At first, it was the vertical pole with two crossbars against the sky that attracted my attention.  Then I realized there are no lines attached to this pole or to the one farther down on the left.  Don't ask why, as I have no clue.

New life for the sinking ship

Those who have followed this blog for a while know that this is the famous sinking ship. It's been half-sunk for years. But a few months ago, it really did begin to sink! So, the powers-that-be arranged to have it bailed out and fixed up and now it has been transformed into its former glory - it is sinking, but not really, in Lake Sumter.

A nice evening for people watching...

...and it sure beats sitting home watching television!
