It's a prop, a reminder of the good ol' days. Doesn't work but looks good. In Lake Sumter Landing you can enjoy the water and the boardwalk without the smell of gasoline.
Very appealing little section of the Landing Lowell, vintage anything looks so nice and 'friendly' compared to modern day sleek!!Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday, or is it even Sunday yet where you are??
I know a guy who is planning to rebuild a gas station from the 1950s. He invited me over to his place a few years ago. I guess I should go back come spring.
That's what I like about pedestrian areas... I wouldn't mind this (and that fishy thingy) for my home decor! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe guys from American Pickers will be by to scoop this up!
ReplyDeleteLovely vintage gas pump! I love this photo:)
ReplyDelete"Doesn't work but looks good" is amusing! :)

ReplyDeleteA great oldie indeed.
ReplyDeleteProp or not, it is a nostalgic image. I'm also impressed by the mounted fish on the wall.
ReplyDeleteSo cool!
