  1. I think it's a slingshot in Jacob Meister's backyard!

  2. Beautiful colors. I've discovered I love photos that look up at the sky.

  4. This looks quite real! Like the almost monochromatic rusty red.

that's what I love about photography
it makes you see and feel so much

  7. @ Cezar and Leia - I'm not a sailor, but a yardarm has to do with a piece of a sail, and so this device keeps part of a sail from going crazy in the wind. I think. Wikipedia has an article on yardarms which might make more sense.

  10. @ Asta - No, it's more like a decorative piece along the boardwalk at Lake Sumter...although it may have come from a boat...

  11. My comment disappeared again. I think I said something like "are we into modern art?" ;-)

  12. Looks like a company called Yardarm Media is using your photo as part of their logo: http://yardarmmedia.com/

  13. Thank you, David! I've contacted Yardarm Media asking for an explanation. If I don't hear from them, I'll be contacting my attorney.

  14. No problem! I was doing a Google search for "yardarm" and your photo and the logo came up very close to one another. It caught my eye - it's unusual to see the source photo for a logo like that.
